(A) COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER (1892)
Produced in 1892, this revolver features the standard blue and case colored finishes. The barrel has the two line address and Frontier Six Shooter roll mark. The black powder frame has the two line patent dates with a Rampant Colt in a circle. The hammer is coarsely checkered with a border and single line. The grips are two piece gutta percha checkered with Rampant Colt logo. CONDITION: The barrel and cylinder retain approximately 60% of their blued finish. The frame is an even grey patina. The trigger guard and back straps have approximately 50% of their blued finish. Scattered flaking and mottling of the finishes throughout. The bore has strong rifling with areas of freckling throughout the grooves. The hammer retains all of its notches and the revolver is mechanically sound.
