Currently in Wells Fargo model configuration. Only about 4,000 Wells Fargo model 1849 pocket revolvers were produced. Blued .31 caliber 3" octagon barrel with 2-line New York address and bead front sight with no loading lever provision. Matching serial numbered 5 shot cylinder with stagecoach scene. Case hardened frame marked "COLT'S PATENT" with matching serial numbered silver plated trigger guard and backstrap; unmarked wedge. Varnished walnut 1-piece grip. CONDITION: Overall good with metal starting to turn a silvery patina. Visible cylinder scene. Silver starting to flake off applied parts. Grips appear to have a light coat of oil added with scratches and dings. Dark bore with crisp mechanics.
