Shortened round barrel with partial Colt barrel address and replaced wedge. Steel frame with reproduction screws for detachable stock and marked "COLTS/PATENT" on left side of frame; reproduction rebated cylinder with complete scene that has been aged to match the balance of gun. Brass trigger guard with steel backstrap engraved on top with navel vessel and rocker panel engraved borders. Original walnut grips are very good. Mismatched numbers. Brass trigger guard has been polished. Balance of gun has a dark grey patina. Indexes perfectly. Very good rifled bore. This Belly gun has a great Western look and would be great for Cowboy action shoots. Fully functioning. Type of gun made famous by outlaws of the Wild West.
