Manufactured in 1863. Round barrel with Colt address on top and loading lever mounted below, rebated percussion cylinder with engraved navel cylinder scene, steel frame marked "COLT'S/PATENT" on left side, brass triggerguard and steel gripstraps. Martially marked varnished walnut grips with rectangular cartouche on left side. Good condition, all numbers match, overall retains a light gray patina with scattered areas of pitting and dark spots, heavier pitting on back of cylinder, brass unpolished, some screws marred, grips very good with some edge wear, half of head of wedge screw is broken off.
