Manufactured in 1862 during the Civil War. Features include a blued 7 - 1/2" .36 caliber barrel assembly with New York address, German silver blade front sight, hammer notch rear, 6-shot percussion cylinder rollmarked with naval engagement scene, case hardened frame, brass grip straps, and plain walnut 1-piece grips. Some components are stamped with inspector marks. CONDITION: Very good. Traces of factory blue and case colors present with balance exhibiting a peppered gray patina. Grip straps exhibit a cleaned, mottled patina which is starting to mellow. Grips have some added finish and impressions. Good bore displaying strong rifling. Matching numbers observed on frame, barrel assembly, cylinder arbor, cylinder, and grip straps. Wedge unnumbered. BAS
