This conversion dates to 1874. It is one of approximately 4000 of the Pocket Navy conversions to .38 RF. with this barrel length. It is in the scarcer blue and case color finish with brass straps, one piece varnished walnut grips. The cylinder still sports the roll die stage coach scene. The octagon barrel has the Colt Hartford legend. Left side of frame has the two line Colt patent legend. Features all matching numbers with exception to wedge that is not numbered. CONDITION: Very good to fine. This is a crisp gun with strong cylinder scene and some bright blue on recessed portion, smooth grey patina barrel with sharp legends, some strong case color on hammer, frame colors have darkened, brass is nicely toned and grips are excellent. Mechanically sound with a strong lightly frosted bore.
