Kentucky-style percussion swivel breech rifle made by Conrad Horn of Hazelton, Pennsylvania from 1820 to 1880. Rifle has 2 full octagon barrels in an over-under configuration with one being rifled and the other smoothbore. Barrels both have blade front sights and rear notch sights with one barrel stamped "C. Horn". Percussion back action lock with double set triggers with trigger guard sliding as a locking mechanism for the swivel. Curly maple buttstock with brass hardware, oval capbox, and 9 silver inlays including a comb piece and engraved federal eagle on the cheekpiece. Nice original-looking hardwood ramrods held with engraved brass holders. CONDITION: Gun has overall good-looking patina with an untouched appearance. Metal is fading to a plum patina with brass fading to a golden patina. Some slight solder bubbling near spur on trigger guard from old repair. Lovely dark finish remaining on wood with no visible repairs. Dark bores with good mechanics. DLM
