Classic 9" overall belt pistol made by Henry Deringer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania circa 1840. 4" 3 flat .52 caliber rifled barrel with brass bead front sight and notch tang sight with patent breech percussion ignition system. Floral engraved back action lock marked "DERINGER" with single trigger control. Walnut checkered stock with German silver escutcheon plates, thumbpiece, and butt inlay and lock back plate with engraved round iron trigger guard. Original hardwood ramrod with brass tip fitting into pewter nosecap. CONDITION: Overall good with metal fading to a silvery patina with some light surface discoloration. Traces of original varnish with no visible restoration or repairs. Shootable bore with crisp mechanics. Formerly part of the Allan Klein Collection. DLM
