Richard C Dewerson (Deverson?) made arms in Boston circa 1810-1814. The lock is the only visible marked part, as well as a small 'mum at left rear barrel breech, so he may just be the maker of the lock or the entire gun. It has been period converted from flint to percussion. It features a checkered half stock with metal tip, brass butt plate and trigger guard, round barrel, very tiny German silver front sight with wooden rod. CONDITION: Very good. All iron is a smooth homogenous patina with some light pitting near nipple. The stock is excellent, solid, with usual dings and impressions. Working order. Bore is dark.
