1896 vintage Model 1895 "Flatside" lever action rifle, serial number 4258. 28" tapered round barrel chambered in .30 U.S. (.30-40 Krag) Plain straight grain walnut stock and forearm. Rifle style crescent buttplate. Aftermarket Williams receiver sight added. Blue with case hardened hammer. CONDITION: Excellent with 60-70% thinning original blue on barrel. Frame, lever, and magazine have approximately 50% original blue blending with patina. Wood is excellent showing modest wear. Bore is turning dark with strong rifling. Action is tight and crisp. -MKS-
