Standard Civil War issue .44 six shot single action percussion revolver with octagon barrel, factory blue finish with sharp walnut grips and strong "OWA" Orville W. Ainsworth cartouche. Revolver has numerous military inspector stamps including "W" on left side of frame, "R" on forward area left frame, "D" on left barrel, and "H" on brass trigger guard. CONDITION: Sharp and crisp soft patina gun with sharp edges and legends. Indexes off and on and needs a new spring installed with a strong and clean bore. Great example of primary issue Civil War handgun.
