No maker mark observed. Round barrel made without sights and unmarked. Brass lock simply marked "A Caen", a city in France. Simple swan neck cock with a rather clever rotating safety that slots into a catch on the base of the cock. Tailed frizzen cover. Brass furniture, trigger guard with Urn finial and a floral medallion decoration. Octagonal butt. CONDITION: Good. Barrel has been cleaned in the European style over some old oxidation. Brass has a deep mustard patina. Wood is good with handling marks throughout and a couple cracks on the bottom. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is good with a minimum of oxidation. EW
