.45 caliber 3" barrel, notched rear sight with silver blade front. Barrel appears to have had around 1" removed, leaving the silver end cap flush with present length. No ramrod present. Marked to top of breech and rear of lock plate: "DERINGER PHILADELA". Silver furniture, fine walnut stock and tip of German silver with typical Deringer wrap checkering in a diamond pattern on the wrist. Silver escutcheon plate is vacant. CONDITION: Barrel and lock have turned a mottled grey with no original finish remaining. Engraving shows some wear on silver components with scroll work on lock, hammer and bolster still strong. Lock and hammer with sharp and crisp engraving and nice dark brown patina. Frosted bore with visible lands and grooves. BRM.
