This pistol appears to have a replaced checkered walnut stock and replaced trigger guard but both appear to be period. There is an additional plate at back strap dated 1854 along with the shield escutcheon. Barrel is browned with lightning bolt design. Lock is engraved and stamped "DERINGER PHILADEL". Top rear barrel flat is stamped with same and has a "P" to left side. Furniture is plated. CONDITION: Very good. Barrel is browned, furniture retains majority of its plating, stock is fine. Mechanically sound. The bore is strong. PROVENANCE: Ex. Castlerock Museum.
