Dates to 1883-1884. Features the special order heavy barrel, smooth metal shotgun butt plate, a silver knife blade front sight, a flat top sporting rear sight, full magazine and walnut stock with matching forearm. The frame features the mirror bright early high polish blue finish with rust blued barrel and tube. The lever and hammer are case color. The proper Marlin legend appears atop barrel. CONDITION: Excellent. The frame retains at least 85% of its bright blue with high edge wear, some minor thinning and handling marks. The barrel and tube retain the majority of their blue finish with some high edge and handling wear. Still retains some case colors. Stocks are excellent with minor impressions. Mechanically sound with a well defined bore showing some frosting. A brilliant large frame Western era rifle.
