The first pistol is stamped on top of barrel "Allen & Wheelock". Serial No. 265. Has a 8" part octagon barrel in .32 bore, single shot, percussion, with two piece bag walnut grips. Sharp legends. Metal is a dark grey patina. Missing front sight bead. Original grips are very good with staining. Hammer does not stay back. Strong bore. The second small boot pistol has a manufacturer's stamp "HOR..?" and a 4" round barrel .32 percussion caliber. Features two piece walnut small bag handle. Metal cleaned to gun metal grey. Fine working order with a poor bore. Interesting pair of mid-1900 pistols in contrasting sizes.
