Both pistols are in identical configuration with octagonal to round barrels, with wedding bands at girdles and ending in iconic cannon turned muzzles. Octagonal section of breeches decoration with rays, florals, and a moon with stars, along with an unidentified, possibly Arabic, poincon. Florals at girdle. Brass tipped ramrod retained by reinforced ferrule decorated with silver. Brass wire inlaid throughout in geometric and floral patterns. Lock with water proof pan, roller bearing frizzen, and swan necked cock engraved with florals. Wrist extensively inlaid with silver with laurels and stands of arms. Buttcap with stirrups cast and chased with stands of arms. Sideplate with florals and geometrics. CONDITION: Good as carefully preserved. Barrels have been rebrowned but engraving still legible; poincon on one gun is washed out. Some brass wire has lifted in stock. Wood has numerous bumps and bruises throughout, and has retracted from buttcap. One gun has split at left side of forestock and at wrist. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bores are good with smooth oxidation throughout. EW
