Famed Guns & Ammo staff writer Phil Spangenberger was the cowboy shooting writing guru for over 40 years. He wrote an article entitled "SPUR TRIGGERS SIZZLIN SPITFIRES of the OLD WEST" in the June 1998 edition featuring pictures of 22 such pistols. These were all in his personal collection. This lot consists of : A. T&R (Turner & Ross) dealer marked and produced by Hopkins & Allen. Engraved with a 4" octagon barrel, .32CF, square butt with T&R monogramed gutta percha grips. CONDITION: Very good. Metal is a soft smooth patina with flashes of nickel, excellent grips, cylinder indexes at times. Bore is very good. B. Belgium pin fire with folding hammer, octagon barrel, 7mm and walnut grips with no maker but has Liege stamps. CONDITION: Very good. Metal is a textured patina. worn rebound spring and a visible bore. C. Norwich Arms Co. Nickel finish, 2 3/4" octagon barrel, .32RF and sorting the rare case metal grips embossed with antlered game motif. CONDITION: Excellent. Retains the majority of its nickel finish, mechanically working with a bright bore.
