Manufactured from 1866 to 1873. Standard 2 - 1/2" swing over octagonal barrel chambered in .41 rimfire with German nickel half moon front sight. Barrel is marked on the top flat "SOUTHERNER" with an additional 3-line address including manufacturer and patent information stamped on the left side. Brass spur trigger frame fit with 2-piece smooth rosewood grips. CONDITION: Very good. Iron components display a dove gray patina with some freckling. Frame exhibits an attractive mustard patina. Grips are very good with some minor impressions. Shootable bore with defined rifling. Mechanically fine. Matching "3170" serial numbers observed on frame, barrel, extractor, and inside of grips. BAS
