Produced from 1859 through 1866. Blued octagon barrel is stamped Merwin & Bray New York but actually made by Bacon Arms in Norwich Conn. It is a single shot with brass frame, spur trigger and two piece walnut grips. Matching serial number inside frame and both grip panels. CONDITION: Fine. Barrel has a crisp blue hue with good legends. Brass is nicely toned. Rosewood grips are excellent. Mechanically sound with a strong bore. It is estimated that only about 4100 were produced in two calibers.
