Very similar in form to Henry Deringer's post-1850 small sized pocket pistols, this example is stamped "DEERRINGER" between 2 silver bands on the barrels to avoid any trademark issues. Features include a 2 - 1/2" rifled barrel, foliate scroll engraved back action percussion lock, checkered bird's head walnut grip, and engraved German silver mounts. CONDITION: Very good overall. Steel components have drifted to a rich dark brown patina. Grips is very good showing moderate wear and light impressions. Good mechanics. BAS
