MFG. 1863. Standard militia inspected revolver cut for shoulder stock, several military inspector stamps, rebated cylinder with roll die Naval scene, round barrel, brass trigger guard, one piece walnut grips. Matching numbers including wedge. Entire revolver was fully nickel plate at it's time of use and finished with blued screws. CONDITION. Very good. Frame retains 80% nickel with scattered freckling. Barrel retains about 90% with strong legends, cylinder scene appears complete but the nickel plating has softened the details but still 70% with some flaking & freckling. Grips show wear and have over 20 kill notches on right side with four on left. Screws retains generous blue finish as does trigger. Fine action with solid loading half cock. Rifling strong but frosted. Very sharp period nickel plated Colt.
