Manufactured in Providence, Rhode Island, for less than 10 years. It is estimated that less than 1000 Martinis were made in all variations. "What Cheer Mid Range" is engraved on the left side of the case color receiver while Peabody & Martini patents are engraved on the right side along with some light border scrolls. Blued octagon-to-round barrel with "40 Cal 70" Grains stamped on the muzzle. There is a spirit level front sight and mid range tang sight, no rear barrel sight. The straight grip walnut stock is finely hand checkered which was not used on the standard mid range. Matching checkered forearm with case color metal tip and butt plate. The Providence legend is stamped on barrel flat. CONDITION: Excellent. Frame retains at least 40% case color with some fading and darkening. Barrel retains nearly all of its blue finish with some scattered handling marks. Stocks are excellent with sharp checkering. Mechanically sound with a bright bore.
