It is estimated that only 6,500 of these pistols were manufactured and an unknown amount were converted to Model 1867 leaving a very small number of original pistols. It features an 8 - 1/2" barrel and there is no trigger guard. Caliber is .50 Rimfire. It has the military inspector stamp FCW for Franklin C Warner. The naval anchor is stamped on barrel breech. The left grip is also stamped FCW. CONDITION: Metal is a clean soft gray patina with sharp legends. Bore exhibits sharp rifling. A clean example of an early post Civil War martial pistol.
