This is a typical US inspected Remington, one of the most popular handguns used during the War Between The States. The barrel has the Remington address stamp, which is still legible. Dovetail front sight. Six shot cylinder, blue finish, brass trigger guard, two piece walnut stocks. CONDITION: This gun is basically all brown-grey patina. Clean metal with the exception of the cylinder which has numerous dings and nicks. Grips are very good, Expertly fitted with no original varnish and wear at base. Has all original nipples. Locks up and indexes correctly. Strong rifling with minor black powder abrasion. Would be a great reenactor gun. Nice and tight.
