Round barrel with steel swiveling ramrod and brass front sight marked at the breech with the German double-headed eagle and an anchor, left side stamped with indistinct crowned mark. Lockplate marked with eagle over “SUHL/SC” and an anchor. Brass furniture, missing belt hook. Plain unmarked walnut stock. Very good condition. Barrel and lock with brown patina, possibly applied after period of use, scattered areas of light pitting. Stock very good, some light scattered marks and minor chips around pins on left side. There were 1,000 of this model pistol made beginning in 1849 for the Bundesmarine.
