(A) SHARPS NEW MODEL 1863 PERCUSSION CARBINE.
Standard mid war carbine without the patch box. Features the blued round barrel, single band, pinned blade on post front sight, Lawrence stamped ladder rear sight, case colored frame, hammer, lever and buttplate, walnut stock with attached bar and ring with the matching forearm. Sharps legends are found on both sides of frame as well as barrel. Breech is stamped "New Model 1863". Priming arm intact. CONDITION: Very good. Barrel is patina with some spotting. Frame appears to have had some wipe on blue. All legends are legible. Stock is very good, proud to metal, with sundry dings. Forearm with dings and a light crack at base. Mechanically sound with sharp rifling.
