Issued 1862-1865. Instantly recognized by the leather covered barrel. Standard features include a walnut stock, brass butt plate, rear swivel, military style adjustable rear sight, case color frame. Sharps legends stamped on both sides of frame. These were widely used on Naval vessels during the war. CONDITION: Fine. The case colors are a mottled patina with no color. Stock is solid with just usual scattered minor dings. The leather is extremely fine & tight. Bore is sharp and clean. Action works correctly. Very nice example.
