Original Springfield Model 1884 trapdoor carbine. Standard 22 inch barrel with Post front sight with blade and Buffington "C" marked rear sight. Proper thick wrist SWP inspected stock with trap including cleaning rod and broken shell extractor. Low arch breech marked 1873. CONDITION: Good as partially restored. The stock has been lightly sanded but is still full sized and cartouches are visible but have been enhanced and has a small crack forward of the sling bar. The barrel action has been lightly cleaned and artificially aged. The breech block is very fine with excellent case colors in the interior and patina exterior. The bore is slightly dark with good rifling.
