(A) SUTTON 1808 FLINTLOCK MUSKET (1813)
US Model 1808 Flintlock musket marked "Sutton 1812". Barrel with "P" proof and "PM" marking on breech with 1813 date on top of chamber. Flat 1808 pattern lock plate. One piece wood stock with iron furniture and tulip rammer. CONDITION: Metal remains very good with some evidence of previous cleaning. Bore is dark. Wood has been sanded, cleaned and has several live breaks surrounding lock mortise and some material losses. Mechanically fine.
