Manufactured 1873-1878. This model is cut for the shoulder stock and features the sash hook on trigger guard with "RUSSIAN MODEL" barrel stamp in English. The lanyard ring is missing. Partial serial number on center of butt with a visible "3" and "5". Serial number on barrel, cylinder and latch is 1561. Serial number on right grip panel is 12?42. Other features are standard for a No. 3 top break, six shot, single action revolver. All metal is a clean grey patina with no original finish. Index and locks up like new with strong rifling. Clean and homogeneous early Smith & Wesson.
