This spectacular Martial Army retains nearly 100% of its original military bluing with only the slightest wear at muzzle. Cylinder retains most original blue, stronger on rebated portion and slightly lighter on cylinder scene area. Frame retains nearly all its original case colors. Trigger guard is plain brass, backstrap has most of the original bluing but thinning slightly. Hammer has very strong case colors. Martial inspected grips are pristine with perfectly legible military inspector marks, "A.D.K." left and "R.H.K.W" on the right. As good a set of grips one can could find in a four-screw 1860. All pin safeties are perfect. Wedge area has none of the battering normally found on 1860's. Screws are perfect. All numbers match and gun appears unfired throughout. We have not seen a better example of a four-screw Martial Army. CORRECTION: Upon Further examination, We have determined that the “ADK” inspection on the stocks has been added over the original inspection. Likewise the “RHKW” inspection is of a later addition as well. The stocks themselves are original and factory numbered to this revolver. Barrel length is 8".
