This English-proofed Root retains nearly 100% of its original high polish bluing on frame and barrel. Cylinder has one extremely minor spot with some flaking. Varnished walnut grips have minute chip at left near extreme bottom. Loading lever has considerable case colors, hammer has bright case color on sides, fairly strong overall. Nipples still have blue, face of cylinder indicates little if any firing, butt mark with serial number and "L" for London, and address reads "Col. Colt, London." Original English oak case is in pristine condition with original Colt Pall Mall trade label and accessories; including a Superb Dixon flask marked "Colt's Pocket Flask" that is virtually brand new with 99% lacquer and bright gilding on top and spout, Colt's patent mold retains nearly all original bluing, blued screwdriver, a large Eley cap tin and oil bottle. Certainly one of the best 7-A Roots to be offered in many years.
