This end of production pistol was produced in Middletown, Connecticut. This example is dated 1822 on lock with "S. North MIDDLtn", "US", and eagle. Left side barrel breech stamped "JD" with proof "P" and "US". All iron furniture and hardware with exception to the small brass front sight and pan. Features the single barrel band retained by springs, a swivel ramrod, an oval rear sight, and one piece walnut stock. Left side of stock has a cartouche stamp in oval. CONDITION: Very good. All metal now in the white showing oxidation. The stock is solid with sundry dings. Refinished, possibly replaced, frizzen and hammer. All legends are sharp. Working but weak hammer spring. Bore shows minor abrasion. PROVENANCE: Ex. Castlerock Museum.
