This example is dated 1853 on lock along with "I.N.JOHNSON", "US", and "MIDDtn". Barrel breech is stamped with "JCB" inspector mark along with proof "P", "US", and sub inspector "K". Features iron hardware, brass furniture, small brass front sight, swivel ramrod, and one piece walnut stock. Initials "JF" carved into left side. CONDITION: Very good, Iron is patina and the brass is lightly toned. Stock is solid, shows some dings and small hairline on left side. Mechanically sound. Bore is fairly clean. PROVENANCE: Ex. Castlerock Museum.
