This rifle made in 1878. The left side of stock has a visible ESA cartouche for Erskine Allin cartouche with SIC stamp. Tang is stamped F2754, which are eith unit or rack numbers. Standard Model 1873 eagle on block, "US SPRINGFIELD" and eagle on lock, "T" sub inspector on top of barrel with VP eagle head stamp to left. Two band rifle with metal rod, swivels, one piece walnut stock, and a proper type replaced rear military sight. CONDITION: Very good. The lock has a silver coin rainbow appearance and the rear sight has most of the blue unlike balance of metal which is smooth brown patina. All legends are sharp. Stock is solid with usual scattered dings. Bore is bright. Comes with a US stamped bayonet.
