Manufactured in 1897 per Madis. Blued round barrel with Marbles Sheard front sight, the rear dovetail left empty and the tang mounted with a Marbles aperture sight. 2-piece plain walnut stocks with crescent rifle butt plate. CONDITION: Good. Rifle retains nearly all of its reapplied blue with evidence of cleaned oxidation under the finish. Stocks fit slightly shy with cleaned surfaces, dings, nicks, abrasions, and grain separation at the butt plate. Dark abraded bore with visible rifling. Fine mechanics.
