Manufactured 1897 with 24" octagon barrel in .38 Winchester Center Fire (.38-40 WCF) with German silver blade front sight, full length magazine tube, and rifle rear sight. 2-piece plain walnut stock and forearm complete with blued forearm cap and rifle buttplate. CONDITION: Good, with barrel and magazine tube retaining most of their original bluing, now turning a brown patina with light freckling throughout. Frame is a speckled gray-brown patina. Stock and forearm are very good with handling marks throughout and no major cracks. Mechanically fine. Bore is heavily frosted with visible rifling.
