W.W. Greener boxlock side by side shotgun made by W. W. Greener, Birmingham, England circa the late 19th century. Damascus steel barrels with smooth rib marked "W.W. Greener 68 Haymarket London Winner at all Gun Trials. 1875 to 1888". Rib has twin bead sights. Case hardened boxlock action with double triggers, Greener style crossbolt, and side safety. Action is plain except for "Greener" logo in banner on each side. Fine walnut half round checkered pistol grip stock with horn buttplate oval stock shield. Walnut full checkered splinter type forearm with latch release and horn forend tip. CONDITION: 40% fading Damascus scene with balance fading to plum. 20% fading case colors with handling wear and some slight surface corrosion. Good screws. Wood has aged dark look with usage marks and dings. Poor pitted bores with good mechanics. DLM
