These rare revolvers were numbered in their own serial range with a mere 276 ever produced, making this example the seventh-to-last one manufactured. Frames were manufactured prior to 1898 but these were shipped from 1900 to 1910. Matching numbers on cylinder, latch and barrel. Features six shot, double action, blued finish, case colored trigger and hammer, and Smith & Wesson black composite grips. This revolver has been factory refinished to near new condition with two return dates inside frame of 1958 and 1967. 229 is scratched into the right grip panel. This revolver appears to be in near new condition since factory refinished and is considered one of the rarest of all Smith & Wesson revolvers.
