"B/N" manufactured 32 round snail drum for German Luger pistols. Loader and snail drum makers marks match. Snail drum numbered 531124. Reproduction leather carrier and canvas carrier are also included in this lot. Leather carrier is unmarked. Canvas carrier is ink marked inside, "Mathias Muller / Konigl. Hofliefierant / (not quite legible) / Leipzig / K(not quite legible) 8-10." CONDITION: Drum is extremely fine original finish on body with some loss of finish to a gray patina at the high edges with some light pitting. Rotating handle and cover exhibit moderate pitting, yet spring tension is very strong, with lever moving freely when rotated. Loader also is B/N marked and is in extremely fine condition, very fine mechanically, with release latch turning a gray patina. Brown leather carrier is extremely fine. These drums fit the Luger pistol, and when fitted with the appropriate spacer, are also sought after to fit the original MP-18,1 machine gun with angled magazine housing.
