There were approximately 5000 of these ordered for the Portuguese military. They all have the M2 under a crown crest over the chamber. This was for Manuel II who was in power from 1908 to 1910. The extractor is marked "CARREGADA" on the left side. Wide grip safety. This gun has had some restoration work. It has all matching numbers to include the magazine. The magazine bottom is an aftermarket that has been numbered to the gun. These guns did not have a numbered magazine. CONDITION: This gun retains virtually all of the aftermarket blue and straw finish. The grips and grip screws are replacements. Fair bore with some frosting in the lands and grooves.
