Absolutely phenomenal early Commercial Model 1911. All early features include small half moon front sight, Type II beveled edge rear sight, short checkered wide spur hammer, long smooth trigger, checkered slide lock and safety, smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard, and diamond checkered walnut grips. Colt pony stamped at rear left side. Left side has 1913 patent date. Right side stamped "COLT AUTOMATIC CALIBRE 45". Comes with two near mint, two tone, tempered lanyard ring magazines. CONDITION: About the only visible wear is the light takedown line. 99.9% all original pre-World War I Colt finish in the original numbered matching maroon box. Box is complete, corners are broken. Both base and lid front aprons are detached. Included is an original cleaning brush, Colt revolvers brochure and Colt Automatic Pistol instructions with heavy manila cover. Near new inside and out and even has original factory hang tag attached. It would be impossible to fine a finer example of the pre-World War I Commercial Model 1911.
