Manufactured circa 1901 with interesting 18999 serial number. Blued 26" octagon barrel chambered in .30-30 with early 2-line Utica, New York address, blade front sight, and buck horn rear. Tang is mounted with an additional flip up Lyman #18 peep sight. High polish blued solid frame with brass round counter and case hardened lever with sliding safety lock. Stocked in plain walnut with crescent butt plate. Splinter forend with Schnabel tip. CONDITION: Very good. The vast majority of the factory applied blued finish is retained with some wear, scratching, and freckling. Stocks show some wear and finish loss with light field impressions, a chip at the toe, and a sliver missing along the forend. Very good strong bore showing well defined rifling. Mechanically fine. Matching serial numbers observed on receiver, forend, stock, and butt plate. BAS
