Emil Pachmayer of Traunstein Germany was the worlds champion 300 meter free rifle-standing champion in 1909. We are assuming this rifle was hand built by him somewhere in that time frame. It is a typical Schuetzen style rifle with the large walnut stock , high contoured comb, matching finish schnauble style forearm, case color Swiss butt plate, case color Martini frame, highly decorative lever, full octagon blued barrel with matted rib, barrel mounted sling eye, a ramp front sight with ear protected bead, no rear barrel sight but has the Lolli pop style rear tang sight base but no stem or aperture. The barrel is marked Bohler - Stahl along with top of barrel stamped Emil Pachmayr Traunstein. CONDITION: Excellent. This gun has been Turnbull style professionally restored retaining brilliant case colors, fine rust blue barrel with sharp edges and legends. Stocks done to near new. Mechanically sound with a bright bore.
