This is a very early example of an FN that has "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY OGDEN UTAH" stamped on matted solid rib with single bead, blued finish, checkered walnut forend, round knob checkered stock and Browning composite buttplate. CONDITION: This shotgun was used but well cared for. Barrel retains approximately 75-80% original blue with a few spots of varnish that can be easily removed. Frame retains approximately 85-90% original factory blue with usual high edge wear. Sharp legends. There are no cracks in the forend. Checkering shows some wear but is still all there with some nice grain on buttstock. Buttplate has some chipping. Fine action. Mirror bore. Extremely handsome, well taken care of pre-war Browning 16 gauge.
