(C) FACTORY ENGRAVED REMINGTON MODEL 12-E EXPERT GRADE .22 RF SLIDE ACTION RIFLE.

The blued octagon barrel is rollmarked with the 2-line "REMINGTON ARMS-UNION METALLIC CARTRIDGE CO." address. A few light flourishes of engraving embellish the breech. Fitted with a simple dovetailed blade front sight and elevation adjustable u-notch rear, as well as a folding Lyman tang aperture sight. The takedown receiver is wonderfully engraved in the E factory pattern. The left side features a central rhombus shaped vignette of two rabbits bounded by foliate scroll and rope borders. Right side displays a squirrel with nut in hand in its main vignette to the rear of the ejection port with further scrollwork. A well executed dog head with scroll surround embellishes the top. Deluxe diamond checkered walnut slide handle and straight grip stock of nice figure with Remington UMC crescent butt plate. CONDITION: Very fine. Rifle retains the vast majority of its factory blue with some mild areas of fading and wear, along with scattered handling marks. Wood has some expected scratches and field impressions throughout. Bright, well defined bore with some areas of light abrasion. Fine mechanics. A very handsome .22 rifle.
