(C) FINE MARLIN MODEL 1894 .38-40 LEVER ACTION RIFLE.
Dates to 1902. This is a standard rifle that features the full round barrel, full tube magazine, German silver knife blade front sight, semi buckhorn rear sporting sight, case color frame, lever, hammer and butt plate. Walnut stock has the rifle butt plate and matching forearm and now has sling eyes. The bolt is fire blue. Barrel shows the correct Marlin legend with caliber. Tang stamped Model 1894 with Marlin Safety stamp on frame. CONDITION: Fine. The frame still retains at least 60% case colors with some strong color remaining on lever. The true screws retain some bright blue. The bolt retains nearly all of its bright nitre blue. The stock is strong but a bit shy with a small wrist piece added to left side. Barrel and tube retain the majority of their blue showing a bit of patina bleed and nominal age freckling. Mechanically sound with a strong bright bore. A very sharp 1894.
