Beautifully engraved German Schuetzen rifle made by Otto Zeitlinger of Eickstatt, Bayern (Bavaria). Blued fluted barrel with notched ramp front sight with rail at rear for added sight. Case hardened profusely engraved action with God of the Hunt motif on right side and Goddess of the Hunt on the left with balance engraved with a floral pattern. European walnut butt and forearm with hunter carved in left side and oak leaf pattern on right side. Butt has Schuetzen style cheekpiece and butt with finger rest. Forearm is checkered with carving and silver barrel escutcheon. Fancy engraved lever, double set triggers and raised pedestal disc tang sight. Comes with leather faced case with extra pedestal tang sight. CONDITION: 80% barrel blue with some light pitting. 60% fading case colors with handling wear. 60% original varnish with some usage scratches and dings. Good bore, set triggers do not function correctly and will need attention. Rifle of exquisite art and workmanship. DLM
