The last official rolling block pistol made from 1901 through 1909. Chambered for the .22 Long Rifle and so marked under the barrel as well as under the forearm. It features the octagon-to-round barrel, dovetailed Lyman half moon ivory bead front sight, target adjustable frame rear sight, high polish blue finish, and finely checkered one piece walnut grips with forearm checkered en suite. The trigger is coarsely checkered. Left side of frame and the top of the barrel have the Remington legend. It is estimated that only 735 of these were ever made and were considered some of the finest quality rolling block pistols ever manufactured. CONDITION: Excellent. Retains at least 95% of its lustrous high polish blue showing several areas of high edge wear, a few freckles, and nominal thinning on guard. Wood is excellent with sharp checkering. Mechanically sound with a bright bore. One would be hard pressed to find a much nicer example while also in a great caliber.
